The comprehensive interior refresh for the Elk Grove Police Department (EGPD) focused on transforming two existing buildings to better support the needs of a growing municipal workforce. The updated interiors feature approximately 60 workstations, 50 private offices, 35 hoteling stations, various conference rooms, a training room, a briefing room and multiple break rooms.
The thoughtful design of EGPD improved workflows both for individuals and across departments, while providing modern ergonomic updates. This was achieved through the use of Herman Miller workstations, Kimball private offices and 9 to 5 Seating throughout, creating a cohesive, functional environment. With staff occupying portions of the building during the project, the MTA Project Manager carefully phased the installation and adhered to fixed completion dates to minimize disruptions to the EGPD team. The result was a seamless transformation of the Police Department, ready to support their growing staff and community.
