Miles Treaster & Associates planted its roots in 1958 as Sacramento’s only Certified Herman Miller Dealer. In 2016, equipped with its long-standing reputation for excellence, commitment to innovation, and a move to downtown Sacramento’s historic R Street Corridor, the brand has blossomed into MTA Inspired Spaces – a modern commercial interiors and workplace design firm representing numerous manufacturers and cutting-edge furnishings. MTA attributes its success to a talented team of over 60 employee-owners comprised of workplace consultants, project managers, designers, and installers. “Our mantra is to touch the hearts and minds of our clients through the spaces we help create,” – including Golden 1 Center, Raley's Headquarters, XL Construction, Williams + Paddon Architects, RSE, and DGA Architects. “We are proud of our Sacramento heritage and passion for transforming Sacramento's future as a thriving and dynamic community.”
Whitney Johnson and Leslie Hoffeditz partnered to create the Hospitality division of MTA Inspired Spaces in 2016. As one of Sacramento’s most buzzed about restaurant designers, Whitney’s extensive credentials include Bottle & Barlow, KRU, Shady Lady, and Hook & Ladder. Leslie, MTA’s Hospitality AE and Marketing Director, entered the hospitality world working on the suites, bars, and lounge areas in the Golden 1 Center.

Housed in an iconic midtown Victorian, MTA planted its roots in 1958 as a family-run office design and furniture dealership on the J Street thoroughfare. In 2006, the executive leadership established an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) as an incentive uniting the entire team with a common goal of investing in our success. As a result, MTA boasts a 99% customer satisfaction rating due to the entrepreneurial spirit and dedicated culture of its employee owners.
