The University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry, or the UOP San Francisco Campus, wanted to modernize their space to create an environment that feels both welcoming and inspiring for students and visitors alike.  The two areas of focus for this project, the first-floor Great Hall and Family Lounge, needed a modern refresh to foster connection, creativity, and a sense of belonging in these communal spaces. MTA approached this project by sourcing furnishings and finishes that balanced modern design with budget-conscious choices, while ensuring durability for high-traffic use.

Designing for the UOP School of Dentistry required a unique balance of higher education and healthcare furnishing strategies, two markets in which MTA has extensive experience. The Family Lounge features furnishings such as Muuto Relate Tables, National Idara Chairs, and JSI Poet Lounge Seating. The Great Hall is a cafe setting featuring National Strassa Tables, Herman Miller Eames Tables, NaughtOne Polly Chairs, Herman Miller OE1 Tables, and Knoll k. Lounge benching. All selections elevate the modern aesthetic while incorporating fabrics for high-use or healthcare settings. MTA created an environment for University of the Pacific that feels both welcoming and inspiring, as reflected by the positive feedback from students and staff.
