Beckman Coulter is a leading Biomedical Company that chose to completely renovate their break rooms to create an updated and modern space for their employees. Their West Sacramento Campus spans across 2 buildings, accommodating over 100 employees across 3 shifts, 24 hours per day. Beckman Coulter came to MTA to redesign their breakrooms in both buildings to accommodate their large capacity and high traffic. The space needed to be modern and inspiring, while also being comfortable and serene for their overnight shifts.
The solution was to offer a wide variety of seating options and a cohesive esthetic across both buildings. This included lounge seating from JSI to offer a relaxed setting and bar height Headway Tables from Herman Miller for different seating postures and larger groups. Table seating with SitOnIt Baja Chairs and the JSI Poet Modular Lounge offer multiple seating postures at the same table for smaller groups. The OE1 Nook provides a touchdown workspace and a more secluded setting. This wide variety of seating options is complemented by custom casework by Custom Transitions that pulls together the design while providing storage and counterspace. The new breakrooms at Beckman Coulter were welcomed warmly by the staff and create beautiful, functional spaces employees will be able to enjoy for years to come.
