Overview
MTA furnished a wide variety of spaces, including waiting areas, infusion bays, exam rooms, consultation offices, lounges, conference rooms, administrative areas, and outdoor environments. A central focus of our approach was carefully shaping the feel of the space to create an inviting and comfortable environment. Understanding that patients are navigating a deeply difficult time in their lives, the design integrates elements of nature, warm tones, and welcoming colors to bring a sense of comfort and tranquility to the surroundings.
The project emphasized high-quality, durable solutions aligned with the client & HGA’s design vision while maintaining strong cost control. Flexible product selections ensured consistency across diverse healthcare settings.
Key challenges addressed:
- Balancing clinical needs with comfort: Ensuring the design supports rigorous medical functionality without feeling cold, stark, or overly clinical.
- Strategic sourcing: Finding alternative products that met strict budget requirements when original selections were unavailable or required modification.
- Timeline management: Navigating construction delays by developing a creative, adaptive delivery and installation schedule to meet the hard ribbon-cutting deadline.
