MTA partnered with Dreyfuss & Blackford to create a modern and colorful open space while giving a nod to the building's historic mid-century architecture. Renovation of this mid-century modern landmark has brought this iconic 146,000 SF building into the 21st Century while artfully addressing the concerns of the preservation community. The Headquarters building was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2010 as an excellent example of Modern International Style. The building is filled with 40 open spaces, small nooks and conference rooms with chairs and tables, creating an environment for impromptu meetings and casual collaboration
