Make-a-Wish Walk for Wishes 2010

Each year, Team MTA participates in the Make-A-Wish Walk for Wishes event. The Make-A-Wish Foundation grants wishes to children ages 2 ½ to 18 with life threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with Hope, Strength and Joy. Every wish is different. Some kids have wished to go to Disneyland, meet Hannah Montana, or get a new computer. Every year on April 16th employees wear their pajamas to work to get people asking about how they can help. On the day of the walk supporters come out in their pajamas, enjoy some free pancakes and walk a 5K to support the Wishes of the kids.

This year, MTA held a Chair Fair auction at its showroom in West Sacramento. It provides an opportunity for individuals to purchase a showroom chair at a significantly reduced price and proceeds went to the Walk for Wishes. Team MTA raised $2,500 in auction and donations and proudly walked in support of this great event, which total efforts raised over $125,000.
