For more than six decades, MTA has been a reliable provider of top-quality customer service and competitively priced modern design furnishings in Northern California. Although our business has evolved, our unwavering commitment to modern design and superior service remains steadfast. Originally established as Treaster and Green in 1958, our family-run company ventured into both residential and commercial design services. Under Miles Treaster's leadership, we partnered exclusively with Herman Miller, propelling us to become one of Sacramento's leading design firms during the 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s.
Miles' passion for design garnered him local media attention, establishing him as a modern design expert. In 1992, we proudly appointed Therese Kingsbury and Nona Gunnell as Vice-Presidents, becoming one of Sacramento's pioneering commercial furniture design companies led by women. In 2006, we embraced an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), uniting our employees around a common goal of success and fostering a culture that values equality and diversity.
In 2019, MTA took another significant stride in progress and innovation as a women-led organization. Joseanna Tse, previously our CFO/COO, assumed the prestigious role of Chief Executive Officer, bringing her expertise and vision to guide us forward. Additionally, Vice President Rachael Camillo-Bennett, a seasoned team member, was appointed President, enriching our endeavors with her profound sales, design and strategic knowledge. With Therese Kingsbury as Chair of the Board, MTA's legacy of excellence endures, and we remain dedicated to delivering exceptional service and inspiring designs with every step we take.
Together, this remarkable leadership team spearheads MTA's continued success, honoring its long-standing tradition of providing outstanding modern design furnishings and unparalleled customer service elevating environments - inspiring people to be their best!
